PUDDLESTOMPERS Birthday Parties are full of active nature fun! Our birthday parties get kids outdoors and moving as they learn about their favorite concept in nature, chosen from over 200 different nature topics that we have in our library. Our Nature Center in Newton offers a kid-friendly indoor area and great outdoor space in which to explore. View our full list of STEM-based curriculum to choose which lesson interests your child the most!

Please note that Birthday Parties at our Nature Center are only available on SUNDAYS. Parties at our Nature Center must be booked at least two weeks in advance to guarantee availability of the space. PUDDLESTOMPERS does not provide party supplies such as cake, decorations, tablecloths, utensils, etc. Children will be sitting on a provided tarp or up moving and exploring for the duration of the party; chairs are not provided.

 

  • Designed for children ages 2-9. Our teacher-naturalists are skilled in adapting any lesson to the age range, size, energy level, and specific needs of the group. Depending on the age and your comfort level, parents are welcome to stay and participate in as little or as much of the program as they’d like!

  • Each party is scheduled for 1.5 hours: 1 hour for our program, and 1/2 hour for the use of our facility afterwards (refreshments, gifts, etc.).

    PLEASE NOTE: We charge a late fee of $100 for any party that exceeds its scheduled time. It is very important that the party ends on-time, as the facility is used regularly by multiple Temple Beth Avodah community groups and/or PUDDLESTOMPERS programs. Please ensure that you and your guests arrive and leave promptly at your scheduled times.

  • Located at the PUDDLESTOMPERS Nature Center in South Newton. Check below for more details about this location and what we have to offer!

  • We will provide a table and a tarp for the children to sit. We will also provide trash bags, wipes, hand sanitizer, as well as all the materials necessary for our program, activities, games, and craft. Families are responsible for bringing some small decorations (e.g. a sign, balloons, streamers) as well as utensils, table cloths, drinks, and refreshments that can be served during the last 1/2 hour of your scheduled time. Chairs are not provided as children are expected to sit on the tarp and spend most of their time moving during guided exploration.

    Parties at our Nature Center are held rain or shine! We have an indoor space available in the case of inclement weather, but our programs are designed to be held 100% outdoors if weather permits. Please instruct your guests to dress accordingly, and be prepared to get a little dirty!

  • Please note that for the safety and effectiveness of our programs, we limit the size of the group that can attend. Our programs tend to work best with groups of 15 children or less, but you can add up to 5 more children (maximum of 20) for an additional cost per child.

  • Wearing masks is optional but encouraged if you or your child are experiencing COVID-19 symptoms. This policy is subject to change.

$325 for up to 15 children

Add up to 5 more children for an additional $15/child (maximum of 20 children total)

Bordering the gorgeous Saw Mill Brook Conservation Area, our Nature Center is perfectly situated for tons of exploring! With a creek running through wooded spaces, we are able to create a dynamic program with opportunities to explore nature in wetlands, forested areas, and beautiful open spaces. The surrounding ecosystems and frequent animal visitors provide countless opportunities to observe the wildlife all around us!
