Weekly Child/Adult Classes
About
Our Child/Adult classes offer a safe and fun way for your young naturalist to get outside and explore the natural community around them! Each class is organized around a seasonally relevant topic (ex: Grasshoppers, Fall Leaves, Winter Birds, Signs of Spring, & more!), that we will investigate through a combination of hands-on exploration, active movement, outdoor play, games, songs, crafts, and stories. Offered in various towns throughout the Greater Boston area, our Child/Adult Classes are typically held in local parks, reservations, or recreation areas, giving you the opportunity to connect with a natural community that’s close to home.

For children ages 2-5, with caregiver

Classes are either 55 minutes long (from 9:30-10:25am, 10:30-11:25am, or 11:30-12:25pm) or 45 minutes long (from 10:15-11:00am or 11:00-11:45am)

Currently offered on weekdays in various parks, reservations, and public open spaces across Greater Boston. Please see our full list of Child/Adult Locations for detailed directions and addresses for your class. A list of locations and class schedule will be emailed to enrollees prior to the first class of each session.

The class will be held outdoors, so please come prepared with sunscreen, bugspray, warm clothes, rain jackets, snowsuits, etc.! In the event of inclement weather, class will either be moved indoors to a safe space at that location, or be re-scheduled to a rain date.
*Please note that this varies by town and indoor space availability.

Wearing masks is optional but encouraged if you or your child are experiencing COVID-19 symptoms. This policy is subject to change.

Tuition & Registration
Registration for Belmont, Dover, Medfield, Medford, Needham, Norwood, Sudbury, Wayland, Wellesley, Weston, and Westwood classes is completed through their Parks & Recreation Departments, and is therefore subject to their specific policies and procedures. If you have questions regarding their policies, please contact the P&R Department in that specific town.
